February 10, 2020 The Lord's Work

Hey friends and family!
This week has been alot of getting to know the area and the members!!
I have been thinking of my purpose as a missionary and I wrote this:

I RISE at 6:30 to prepare for the day, not knowing what challenges he will place in my way.
I PLAN every minute for the hours ahead and pray for the strength to not fall back in bed.
I STUDY for knowledge and comfort and peace, for I know its through grace I can concer the beast.
I SERVE those around me with a smile on my face, Knowing the lord will help me keep up the pace.
I KNOCK every door that appears in my way, hoping to convince others to come and see, come and stay.
I TEACH many people in the area assigned, letting them know of the plan god designed.
I BIKE down each street wishing the wind was at my back, peddling faster to avoid a vicious attack.
I BACK my companion as she carefully turns the wheel, hoping wherever we drive someone will feed us a meal.
I PRAY to god, wetting my pillow each night, asking for my weakness to be replaced with might.
I MOVE as directed, when told by the lord. Despite the tears on my cheek, I know I will love my new ward.
I LAUGH at the simple mistakes we each make, learning it's better to give then to take.
I LIVE by the standards clearly presented to me, hoping those who convert will choose to NEVER flee.
I AM a Missionary and repentance I will keep shouting, because I know the gospel is true; Nothing doubting.

As a missionary I rise, plan, study, serve, knock, teach, bike, pray, laugh and so much more! I love being a missionary for our Heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ. I know that this work is his, not mine!!

I love you all so much!! I hope you know that you are worth more than GOLD!!

Love,

February 3, 2020 Heavenly Father Loves Us Perfectly

This week I officially settled in Victoria Texas; The biggest area in the entire mission.
I went from tiny Texas City where the longest car ride to an appointment took 10 minutes vs.  Victoria where the longest CAR ride takes over an hour! Victoria is Huge, but everyone here is so kind and loving!
This week I have truly been able to recognize how much our heavenly father loves us and knows us perfectly!
As we went out finding this week we came across a members name who was marked as an active member. We decided to visit them so we could get to know more people in the ward. As we pulled up to the house and knocked on their door a man answered and invited us right in. He told us to sit down and offered us water. We were convinced he was the active member as shown on the ABP. We talked about chuch and the area and they seemed to know what was going on, but then the question was brought up about their calling.
The man told us they were inactive. He said the missionaries visited his brother frequently who lived here about 6 months previous, but they stopped coming by once his brother left and he moved in. He said he has been waiting for the sisters to come by.

His brother was the one on the list, not him.

We taught him about the come follow me and shared our testimonies with him. He said he wants to start coming back to chuch and then he set up another day for us to come by.

It was amazing to see that we were guided to someone who was waiting for us!! I know heavenly father knows each and everyone of us perfectly!

I love you all!! I hope you have an amazing week!!!
