November 18,2019 Den's of Iniquity

Hey family and friends! This week I got to write out a paper about the gospel of Jesus Christ, so here it is.

"The gospel of Jesus Christ is the continual path which connects us to Christ's infinant atonement.

Faith is the belief we have, and actions we take that move us along the path of conversion.

Repentance is recognizing we are imperfect, then doing everything in our power to become like our Savior, Jesus Christ, who is perfect.

Baptism is a representation of being born again where we are submerged in water by someone holding the proper authority of the priesthood and brought back out to become new, cleansed of our iniquity, covenanting to our father in heaven to always remember his son, Jesus Christ.

The gift of the holy ghost is given by the laying on of hands by someone holding the proper authority of the priesthood. We recieve a blessing to always have the spirit to be with us, to comfort, protect and guide as we stand in holy places.

Enduring to the end is cheerfully living the gospel of Jesus Christ for all time and eternity."

As missionaries we teach about the gospel almost every day. It is good to live by the gospel, having faith, repenting, partaking of the sacrament, staying worthy of the holy ghost, and doing that repeatedly through out your life. But there is a difference when you recognize that the gospel isn't just part of your life, but it IS your life!

I Ann Marie Elgaaen know for myself that as we are obedient we can see blessings, but as we are exactly obedient we will see miracles. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life, allowing me to be converted to the lord with unwavering faith. I love the savior and I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is the only complete church on the earth today. I have felt of Heavenly Fathers love, and I am a witness that he lives and loves all of his children. Nothing can or will ever convince me otherwise, for I know, nothing doubting!

This week we saw a miracle when we prayed to give out a book of Mormon before we left the house. We were knocking around Texas City, but after 2 hours we were seeing no success! I said a quiet prayer in my mind that we would find someone who would accept a book of Mormon, and we kept biking.
We stopped at a house where a man answered and he knew about our church. He said he had many friends who were of our religion.
I brought up the book of Mormon and asked if he had seen it.
He said many people have tried to give him a book of Mormon, but he always refused them.
I felt a sinking feeling. If this man had rejected many book of Mormons what would be different now. But as I opened my mouth I lived the book of Mormon and said "we would love to give you a book of Mormon today."
The man seemed a little taken aback. He had just told us he wouldn't accept it.
But to our surprise he nodded his head and reached for the book. "Why not." He said and gave us a little smile.
We made a return appointment and left.

I know that heavenly father answers prayers. Sometimes it takes 2 hours, but as we constantly put in the work, we will be blessed.

I love you all!! I hope you have an amazing Week and stay warm;)
